about us

Building a greener, healthier, more resilient Jersey City—together.

OUR STORY

A growing movement for people, place, and progress

Sustainable Jersey City began with a simple idea: lasting environmental change starts with people who care. What started as a community effort has grown into a movement focused on education, advocacy, data, and action.

From the beginning, community voices have guided our work. We listen, learn, and act together to understand Jersey City’s challenges, from climate risks to access to green spaces.

Through partnerships with residents, schools, organizations, and local leaders, we turn shared concerns into solutions that help build a cleaner, greener, and more resilient city.
